Watching your baby roll around, crawl, and try to stand up is a dream come true. However, it’s super important to check for anything in your condo that could cause injury to keep your little cutie out of trouble. Here are 5 ways to keep your baby safe in your Otto Place home and away from harm.

Put Sharp Objects out of Reach

Sharp objects pose danger to babies, since they might play with it and get wounded, as their skin is more vulnerable and sensitive. Protect your child by putting sharp objects such as knives, forks, and scissors inside drawers or cupboards. Store these items securely by installing a safety latch.

Go for Round-Edged Furniture

Lots of furniture has pointy edges, which could strike the unaware. Whenever possible, get furniture with smoother and rounder edges to provide safety not just for your baby, but for everyone in the family. For existing furniture with sharp corners, add edge bumpers, rubber protectors, or soft safety paddings to prevent baby from getting a bump.

Install Mats in your Bathroom to Avoid Slipping

Remember to keep the bathroom floor dry at all times. Fix this issue easily by adding mats to avoid pooling of water that can cause anyone to slip. Now you won’t have to worry about your baby slipping in the bathroom.

Properly Lock the Doors and Windows

Babies like to wander into places as they discover their surroundings, but we don’t want them to crawl into the unknown. Since you live in a condo, which is usually a high rise, tall building, you’d want to ensure they won’t get access to high places. So make sure you properly lock the doors and windows, and additionally, secure any openings that lead to other areas that can be dangerous for your child.

Set Up Baby Monitors

Even if you have safety measures in place for your little one’s safety, it’s still a good idea to install baby monitors for your peace of mind. You can check in and watch your child sleep and roam around in the baby room or play area.
